A Look at Enneagram Communities

Penny Whillans, director of the Canadian Institute for Enneagram Studies (CIES) defines an Enneagram community as people ”who wish to be in close touch with one another in order to share their mindful, heartfelt, embodied experiences as they explore themselves and their environments through the vehicle of the Enneagram.” She maintains that as awareness of Enneagram Laws increases, clarity regarding support and growth of the Laws will increase. She emphasizes that pursuit of the Law of One will further the “community’s ability to sense, feel, and mindfully be aware of the emerging dynamics of change and the location of the community’s stage in the change process.”
