Be Active to Improve Mood

Dr. Andrew Weil, M.D. makes the case that physical activity can have an important impact on improving your mood.

He notes that research shows patients who include aerobic physical exercise in their routines show improvements in a mood similar to those who were taking medication. Also, these patients are less likely to slip back into a depressive mood.  

Depression stems from a sedentary lifestyle

Dr. Weil also points out that people in modern societies who sit (at work, in their cars, etc.) have higher rates of depression than people from less developed cultures.
