Applying the 5 Love Languages to Self-Love: How to Love Yourself

Do you treat yourself with the same kindness you might treat another person? Or do you all too often fall into the trap of beating yourself up, setting unrealistic expectations, or abusing your body by making harmful choices? – You can change this, and show yourself some love.

How? Consider:

Putting your inner critic on the sidelines for a while and writing down all the things about yourself for which you are grateful.
Taking care of yourself, mentally and physically: not missing health checkups, eating foods that are good for your body, and creating a pleasing environment at home.
Setting time aside for leisure activities, meditating, or exercise, and not over-scheduling yourself.
