We, humans, have the capacity to see things through a filter called “negativity bias.” It’s a survival skill our brains use to stay alert and watch out for danger.
Yet, negativity bias can hinder us when it comes to being happy and positive. Still, it is possible to overcome negativity bias when we need to. For example, being self-forgiving and letting go of stress help immensely.
Also, learning to use mindfulness to become more aware and gain understanding also fosters a more positive perspective. Finally, practice being grateful to obtain more appreciation for others.
