Recent studies have shown that the obesity epidemic parallels the consumption of the sugary drinks over the last few decades, revealing that the body mass index of diet soda drinkers is significantly higher that that of those who drink regular soda. The waist size of diet soda drinkers is also reported to be significantly larger.
