Controlling Anger

Have you been struggling to keep your anger in check? Try using the STAR-R approach.

When you feel that you are getting angry, stop to observe for any indicators. Next, think of what would happen if you did get angry.  Afterward, ask yourself why you are feeling angry. Then, reduce the anger by using a coping skill. Finally, give yourself a reward with a compliment for how well you stayed in control.

You will find that by practicing the STAR-R approach you can better keep your anger under control.
