Drinkable Sunscreen?
Don’t drink your sunscreen. According to Osmosis Skincare, headed by Dr. Ben Johnson, “UV Neutralizer Harmonized Water” will provide consumers with three hours of SPF 30 skin protection. But can purified water, “imprinted with unique vibrational waves, which isolate out the precise frequencies needed to protect you from UV rays,” really do what it says? Industry watchdogs say no. Be aware that the FDA has not approved this, there is no scientific evidence to support this, and according to the British Association of Dermatologists, “The formulation is 100% water and…as far as our experts are concerned, it is complete nonsense to suggest that drinking water will give you a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30.”
