Research is finding that if you are a perfectionist you may be at higher risk for depression and anxiety.

The research study, done by Psychological Bulletin, connected perfectionism as a trigger for other mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. In addition, perfectionism in the populations of Canadian, American, and British college students has grown, yet the trend is greatest among Americans. Also, young people receive messaging through social media and advertising that reinforces perfectionism.
