The study revealed that participants who watched an action movie ate 65% more calories, and almost twice as much food, as those who watched Charlie Rose’s interview-based program. Even without sound, the action watchers ate significantly more. Though not wholly scientific, the take away seems to be that your waistline may benefit from a commitment to relegating TV snacks to shows with a more intellectual or cerebral component.
