Meditation and Genes
Deepak Chopra and Dr. Rudolph E. Tanzi reveal research that meditation can have a positive impact on your genes.
Generally, their work included 94 healthy women between ages 30-60. Sixty-four were not routine meditators. The other subjects practiced often. Researchers split the group into vacationers and those participating in a meditation retreat. Also, the study included blood samples for examination. And follow-up surveys were given after the retreat.
All in all, molecular pattern changes occurred in the groups. Also, depression and stress levels decreased for novice meditators.
