Does Mindfulness Teach Us to Not be Prejudiced?
Research shows that mindfulness may alleviate prejudice and intrinsic bias towards other people.

Researchers from Emory University asked students to describe cartoons that depicted varying scenes, recording evidence of judgment or biased thinking.
Conversely, asked to mindfully observe the cartoons, a thought shift took place among students . As the participants became more aware of their thoughts, less bias was reported. As a result, mindfulness may be used to reduce bias. Therefore helping to adjust unhelpful or harmful thinking patterns. Especially when interacting with people outside of our homogenous social groups.
