Relax, You’re Not in Control

Criticizing yourself for making poor decisions never helps you make better decisions. It will only leave you more stressed and unhappy. There are just too many things over which we have no control.

It appears that most often what we would consider “willful thoughts” are actually our minds attempting to making sense of the actions our body already took. Scientific research found that when people had to make split second decisions, their brains would place decision making at the start of the sequence of events, rather than after the event was in motion.
