Research Shows Exercise and Mediation Help
Paying special attention to the mind and body help lessen the grip of depression is quickly becoming common knowledge. Therefore, researchers at Rutgers University conducted a study to prove it. Most of all, it shows clearly that combining exercise and meditation practices can help reduce depression significantly.
The study included 22 college students with a depression diagnosis. 30 students did not have a mental health issue. Subjects engaged in a half-hour meditation session. Then, they did a half-hour of aerobic exercise. As a result, 40% of the depressed students saw symptom improvement.
