Laughter actually has several positive benefits for both our emotional and physical health. When we laugh dopamine and endorphins are released, which helps with mood. There are also chemicals in our brains that are released that help control stress hormones. Laughter is a positive coping tool that helps us stay positive versus slipping into a negative or depressive mood. Additionally, laughing helps our heart by increasing our heart rate and burning calories too!
