Transcendental Meditation Can Reduce Stress in Caregivers

Caregivers often experience high stress, which leads them to suffer from conditions such as heart disease, immune system dysfunction, and other problematic health issues. Other problems they might be facing are that they’re not trained to provide these services and therefore can quickly become overwhelmed. This, in turn, can influence their moods and they may become impatient and irritable.

A study, though, recently found that caregivers who participated in a two-month period of practicing Transcendental Meditation significantly improved their mental health and mood. The practice helped reduce their stress, increase their energy levels, and helped them to feel more calm and resilient.
