- Help with chores. Often, people with depression feel overwhelmed by daily tasks, and greatly appreciate help with keeping the chaos at bay.
- Take them outdoors. Packing a picnic and enjoying nature, or planting a garden and cultivating it together, can be ways of helping to alleviate the effects of some types of depression.
- Get them to laugh. When we laugh, endorphins are released, which could actually counteract symptoms of those suffering from depression.
