Weight Loss + Exercise Could Save Your Hearing

Inflammation stemming from obesity is bad for the body. It’s bad for your heart, bad for your blood, bad for your immune system, and now, bad for your hearing.  In a study spanning two decades among 68,00 women, researchers at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital found that the heavier the woman is, the higher her risk of hearing loss. Fortunately, they also discovered that this risk might be reduced if women increase physical activity. According to the December 2013 issue of the American Journal of Medicine, the study found that hearing loss could be lowered by 15 percent if obese women walked just two hours a week, twice a week.
