White Brain Matter and Depression

Research is finding that there is a connection between the health of white brain matter and
depression.
The study was conducted by the University of Edinburgh and published in Scientific Reports.
They studied over 3,000 people who participated in diffusion tensor imaging, which mapped the
white matter in their brains.

What they found was that those with depression had lower quality white brain matter. This can help better understand how depression affects the body and help treat those with depression.
