Has nature turned against us? Throughout history, nature is seen as a bountiful, nourishing caregiver. This is true for any number of cultures. In this modern age, however, we no longer think of nature as “human” and caring. But we still need to be aware of our relationship with nature and realize that how we treat this planet has very real consequences for us. We cannot continue to take the resources that once seemed infinite for granted without hurting ourselves and future generations. Just as a family needs to budget its resources, so, too, do we need to stop being mindlessly extravagant at the expense of our planet
