Why Drink Oolong Tea?

Although oolong tea is what you are generally served in Chinese restaurants, no one should assume that all oolong tastes the same. Oolong tea is a product of intermediate tea leaf oxidation between green and black teas. Studies have been conducted both in the U.S. and Taiwan which seem to indicate that drinking oolong tea, especially with prescribed medication, can lower blood sugar in individuals with diabetes. Another study was also recently conducted regarding the ability of oolong tea to help control an individual’s weight by boosting fat oxidation. In both studies, the researchers felt that they needed further data in order to draw definite conclusions.
