Your Relationship With You

We all seek love, but how can you love another if you don’t love yourself? It’s a difficult question. Here is one way to help–think of yourself as another person you want to have a relationship with. How do you treat the relationship? Are you nurturing and kind to it? Do you discount it’s importance or respect it? Do you wish you could change it, or love it as is? Do you care if it’s happy? Do you look for reasons to criticize it? Now, replace “it” with “you/your/yourself” to see how you treat yourself and if you would treat someone you love that way.
