Any relationship can have its ups and downs. However, if your partner has a personality disorder, that can complicate matters.
What can you do?
If your partner does have a personality disorder, there are several things you can do to cope. First, try to understand as much as you can about the problem and the treatment your partner is receiving. Watch out for relapse and know what that could look like. Be aware of issues such as contempt, sarcasm, criticism, and stonewalling that might arise from your partner. Finally, make sure to take care of yourself.
