The Enneagram: Style Nine - The Peacemaker - Gabriele Hilberg, Ph. D., MFT

Number Nine is the last on the list of enneagram styles. Labeled “The Peacemaker,” Number Nine is serene, peaceful, a great friend, and a wonderful group leader. They replace their own agendas with what they perceive to be the group’s agenda and push their anger inward. They are able to be assertive without being aggressive, a trait that can make them extremely popular. However, when they are unhealthy, they become inactive and noncommittal. They put themselves to sleep with drugs, food, or television. They may live out their lives feeling sorry for themselves because, rather than being assertive, they chose to let someone else dictate their schedule and activities.
