There are several components to happiness or a feeling of wellbeing.
What is Happiness?
The basis for wellbeing begins with the basics. Get enough sleep, manage stress, and exercise. Work toward emotional balance, and proper diet and nutrition. Other common thoughts on wellbeing include peace in one’s job or career path and financial security. Major factors also include social interactions with others, physical interaction, and developing a sense of community.
However, developing a sense of oneself and one’s connection to the larger world can help with understanding happiness most. For example, happy people feel grateful. They demonstrate compassion towards themselves, a developing spirituality, and understand non-dual awareness.
